I have been tutoring for over 15 years. My philosophy of learning is that anyone can grasp the concepts and skills they need to succeed with the right instructor, motivation and relevance to their lives. My experience as a substitute teacher has given me a chance to see all kinds of learning styles and methods of teaching. I have also worked at a national tutoring center, Huntington Learning Center, where I learned a lot of useful new ways to tutor. With a credential and a BA in child development, I have learned to assess and diagnostically teach students to meet their learning needs. Some succeed faster than others, but I do believe all have the potential to learn and progress with the right tutor.
